WW2 US Army Quartermasters Bone Letter Opener with Brass Badge c1940

Here on offer is a WW2 US Army Quartermasters bone letter opener with brass badge, circa1940 This interesting letter opener has been made from a fine piece of animal bone that has been fitted with a brass WW2 US Army Quartermasters badge at the top. The bone now has a really smooth finish and shows some dark age staining which gives it a pleasant marbled effect. It is in excellent condition with just a couple of tiny edge knicks. It measures 8.25” (22cm) long by 0.9” (2.3cm) wide and weighs 37g. Please see my pictures for the details of the condition, which complement this description.
