Two-part buckle consisting of a circlet bearing 'Border Rifle Volunteers ' with the centre-piece bearing a Victorian crown surmounted by a lion. The reverse is plain with no makers marks.. The finish to the buckle is well worn and stained whilst all details are present and clear. Scarce buckle.
