Austria : Emperor Karl WW1 Military Merit Medal in Gilded Bronze (Militärverdienstmedaille) *Signum Laudis' on the Ribbon for War Merit with Swords.

Gilded-bronze medal designed by Kautsch complete with original triangular ribbon bearing crossed swords for combat merit. The medal is surmounted by the crowns of both Austria and Hungary. The medal was known as 'Signum Laudis' (Sign of Honour) and this version was awarded in 1918. The medal and ribbon are in excellent condition The rim of the medal is stamped 'Bronze'.
