Austria : Emperor Karl WW1 Military Merit Medal (Militärverdienstmedaille) *Signum Laudis' on the Ribbon for War Merit with Swords.

Gilded-bronze medal designed by Kautsch complete with original triangular ribbon bearing crossed swords for combat merit. The medal is surmounted by the crowns of both Austria and Hungary. The rim of the medal is stamped with a minute 'Bronze'. This medal was known as 'Signum Laudis' (Sign of Honour) and this version was awarded in 1918. The medal is in excellent condition whilst the ribbon shows some minor signs of wear.,
