Small Antique Scottish Rams Horn Snuff Mull with Silver Fittings and Initialled Plaque “HM” c1860

Sold
£120.00

Description

Here on offer is a small antique Scottish rams horn snuff mull with silver fittings (tests as 925 silver) and engraved with the initials, “HM” on a tiny silver plaque on the top of the lid, circa 1860. The lid still retains the cork seal on the inside and open and closes as it should, it is just not an airtight seal anymore, as you would expect with an antique period piece. The curled horn is in excellent condition, there is just a small chip to the edge of the lid, as shown in my photos. It measures 2” (5.2cm) wide, 1.3” (3.3cm) deep at the top and 1.7” (4.3cm) high. It weighs 28g. Please see my pictures for the details of the condition, which complement this description. Please see my TERMS OF BUSINESS regarding Deliver Charges and Insurance regarding additional insurance cover, should you require it, BEFORE the item is dispatched. The responsibility lies with the customer to check with your Customs restrictions that this item can be imported into your country.
