WW2 “Trench Art” RAF Aluminium Lidded Pot fitted with RAF Cap Badge

Here on offer is a great example of an original WW2 RAF “Trench Art” RAF aluminium lidded pot with RAF cap badge, fitted on the front. This peace was most likely made in a RAF aircraft workshop during WW2 as a sweetheart or just a souvenir piece. The cylindrical body has two circular holes in the base so the engineer has inserted a thin circular disc of aluminium to make to seal the base and make the pot usable. There is a mint condition RAF brass cap badge with King's crown, fitted on the front. The lid screws securely in place and the whole pot is in excellent condition. It measures is 2.2” (5.6cm) high by 2.4” (6.2cm) diameter on the body and weighs 105g. Please see my pictures for the details of the condition, which complement this description.
