Description

Here on offer is a finely detailed example of a gilt and enamel RAF emblem sweetheart brooch, circa 1940. This is a quality gold-plated piece with fine detailing to the spread feathered wings along with the Kings Crown and “RAF” letters, with just some tiny areas of plating loss. The Raf letters have a blue enamel background and the crown is inset with red enamel. On the reverse it still retains its original fixing pin with “locking” C clasp. The brooch is 1.7” (4.2cm) wide and it weighs 2.7g. Please see my pictures for the details of the condition, which complement this description.
