WW2 Royal Navy Shield Shaped Bakelite Sweetheart Brooch

Here on offer is an excellent example of a WW2 shield shaped Bakelite sweetheart brooch, inset with a black and white photo of a Royal Navy rating in uniform. The Bakelite shield and top bar have a brown marbled finish and are in excellent undamaged condition. The front has a small circular photo of a Navy rating in uniform that is covered in a clear plastic cover. On the reverse it still retains its original fixing pin and clasp. It measures 1.1” (2.7cm) wide by 1.75” (4.5cm) high and weighs 6g. Please see my pictures for the details of the condition, which complement this description.
