WW1 Eastern Front German Boot or Trench Knife with Deer Antler Grip – Blade Etched 'RUSSLAND 1915'

Here on offer is what appears to be a WW1 Eastern Front German boot or trench knife with a deer antler grip.The single edged blade is faintly etched on one side with the words:RUSSLAND 1915Translates from German to English as 'Russia 1915'.This implies it was used during the German successful advances into Russia during this early period of WW1.The knife has a copper ferrell connecting the blade to the fine deer antler grip.The grip has been crafted from one piece of deer antler that is fitted to the blade tang by a two brass pins.What is interesting and somewhat puzzling about this knife are the words that have been written in black ink/paint on the copper pommel cap.They are rubbed and very hard to read now, but are possibly:Granatspgef beiRousera(Garnet found at Rousera?)This however doesn't translate from German to anything that makes sense in English?
