INERT WW1 British VSM 37mm 1 Pounder “Pom Pom” Shell

Sold
£50.00

Description

Hear on offer is a great example of an inert WW1 British VSM 37mm 1 pounder “Pom Pom” shell. The shell is stamped VSM (Vickers, Sons & Maxim) on the projectile section. There is also the letter “B” stamped on the top brass screw in plug. This type of shell was used on the British 'Pom Pom' or 37mm cannon during WW1. The name reflects the distinctive sound it made whilst firing. The shell is in excellent condition with just some tiny dings to the brass shell case. It measures 6.3” (16cm) high and weighs 610g. Please see my pictures for the details of the condition, which complement this description. Please see my TERMS OF BUSINESS regarding Deliver Charges and Insurance regarding additional insurance cover, should you require it, BEFORE the item is dispatched. The responsibility lies with the customer to check with your Customs restrictions that this item can be imported into your country. Thank you for taking the time to look.
