Huge 1952 Military issue Union Flag 3.48mtrs x 2.21mtrs.

Very large multi-piece construction military Union-Flag which was produced for Queen Elizabeth II's 1953 coronation celebrations but was not used and remained in QM stores. The flag measures 3.48mtrs x 2.21mtrs (137' x 87') and is in excellent un-used condition The flag is complete with halyard and wooden toggle. The halyard-sleeve bears both a maker's label and stamp for 'Porter Bros.Ltd., Kings Dock Mill, Liverpool'. The sleeve also bears the date '1952', the War Dept. broad arrow and .'Cat No .HH 1054'. This flag came from the long lost redundant QM stores stock which I acquired some years ago. The size makes it difficult to photograph. Payment by cheque or bank transfer please.
