Large Victorian Scottish Silver Engraved Arrow Kilt Pin Brooch c1870

Here on offer is a beautiful large Victorian Scottish silver arrow kilt pin or brooch, circa 1870. This fine example of an antique Scottish kilt pin is decorated on the front with an engraved scroll motif. The reverse has a long steel hinged pin and silver “C” clip, in full working order. There are no hallmarks or maker's marks, which is not unusual for early Scottish silver pieces. It does test positive for 925 grade sterling silver. The Kilt Pin measures 3.5” (9cm) long and 1” (2.5cm) wide across the feathers. It weighs 8g. It is in excellent original condition, no damage that I can see. It has a very slight curve to the long section, making a better fit to the curve of your body. Please see my pictures for the details of the condition, which complement this description.
