1897 Diamond Jubilee Queen Victoria Copper Medal

Here on offer is an 1897 Queen Victoria Copper Diamond Jubilee medal by H Grueber & Co. It was made to celebrate 60 years of her reign from 1837 to 1897. Obverse depicts four generations of the royal family – Queen Victoria and future kings Edward VII, George V and Edward VIII. The reverse shows four shields surrounded by the legend “TO COMMEMORATE THE 60TH YEAR OF HER MAJESTY'S REIGN .1837-97. THE DIAMOND JUBILEE”. The medal is in excellent condition and retains its fine detailing, like the star burst around the crown.
