Interesting Set of Deluxe WW2 German Army Officers Dagger Hangers

Here on offer is an interesting set of Deluxe WW2 German Army Officers Dagger Hangers. Although these deluxe hangers have clearly been worn and have lost a lot of their original finish, they show possible remains of a gilt wash that was used for Wehrmacht Generals. You can only see the gold colouring in a more sub dewed light than my photos show. It may well be that the finish just has a very tarnished colour that gives the impression they had a gilt finish? I really can't be sure? The fittings on this set are the earlier heavy metal alloy type. The oval buckles and slides retain the fine oak leaf pattern and show small traces of the original gilt finish, as do the oak leaf sliders. The two lower oak leaf patterned “slider” spring clips are in full working order but have lost most of their original finish. They are both stamped with D.R.G.M. on the back. The top suspension bar is the deluxe oak leaf patterned type and is stamped with D.R.G.M. on the front and they have lost nearly all of their original finish. The two straps have good condition silver brocade to the front and light tan velvet backings. The front shows some wear and the shorter strap shows a period stitching repair to where is loops around the top bar. Please see my photos. The velvet on the back shows some contact rub marks. These genuine original straps have seen some service but would compliment any Wehrmacht dagger with similar true service wear. The longest hanger measures 9.5” (24.2cm) from the top bar to the tip of the lower clip and they weigh 70g. Please see my pictures for the details of the condition, which complement this description.
