1916 dated Butcher bayonet by Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Cie Solingen.

Very good condition 1916 dated Butcher bayonet. 51cm overall length with a blade measuring 37cm. Clean bright blade with some minor wear and sharpening. Stamped Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Cie Solingen on the ricasso. Spine is stamped with the Crown, W and 16 dated acceptance stamps. Wood grips in good used condition. Grip screws are unmessed with. Heavy patina to the steel fittings. Working lock button. Steel scabbard in good worn condition. Blade sheaths and draws smoothly and is held firm by the scabbard springs. A couple of minor depressions to scabbard. A very fine collectable bayonet with the desirable Butcher blade.
