1950's 'LONE STAR SCOUT' Repeating Toy Cap Gun with Original Holster - MADE IN ENGLAND

Here on offer is a great example of a vintage, 1950's period 'LONE STAR SCOUT' repeating toy cap gun with its original holster. Sadly I am old enough to remember these when I was a young boy! The main body of the gun is made from a metal alloy that has been chrome plated. Some of the plating has worn off through use. The sides have an ornate raised design and on one side have the lettering: SCOUT MADE IN ENGLAND OIL HERE and on the other side: SCOUT LONE STAR The trigger mechanism is still in good working order and I have recently oiled, to endure it keeps working. Both of the red and black plastic grips are in perfect condition, no cracks or splits. What is unusual with this example is that is still has its original red and cream coloured leatherette holster. It displays the word DEPUTY and has a pressed metal plaque with the image of a cowboy on his horse and a large inset red plastic gemstone. It is hard to find these cap guns in such good condition these days and even rarer tio find one with its holster. The gun measures approximately 7” (17.7cm) long and with the holster, weighs 155g.
