1914 Iron Cross Second Class on homemade court mount.

Available
£90.00

Description

Excellent condition 1914 EKII with an early cast iron magnetic core and a Government standard unmarked 938 grade silver frame. Nice crisp strike. The Cross is attached to what appears to be a homemade court mount. The folded ribbon is backed in black wool felt. How it was meant to be attached is a mystery as there is no mounting pin. The recipient probably used a safety pin for attachment. The ribbon ring is stamped but is unreadable.
