BRD : Early Bundeswehr Official Photo of an Armoured Bridging Vehicle.

Original official photo 17.5cms x 13cms ,from the West German Ministry of Defence (Verteidigungsministerium) showing a Bundeswehr American M48 A2 chassis on which is mounted the hydraulic bridging equipment. The bridge, which was 19.2mtrs long x 4mtrs wide, could take a load of 60 tonnes and span an 18mtr gap, being laid in 3-5 minutes. The vehicle is shown crossing one of its own bridges. The Bundeswehr did have another bridging vehicle on a Leoprad chassis which, although bigger, could only take a lighter load (52 tonnes).. The reverse of the photo had the issue stamp of the Defence Ministry. Mint condition.
