Early WWII US Army 2nd Division Patch

Early 2nd Division embroidered patch with a border. Used with age and wear. Measures 4 3/4” x 3 5/16” Also known as the “Indian Head” the 2nd Divisions motto is “Second to None”. Formed in 1917 the 2nd Infanrty Division fought during WW2 in Normandy landing in St. Laurent on D-Day plus 2. They continued to fight battles in Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes/Alsace and Central Europe.
