Description

Here on offer is an excellent example of a WW1 period Royal Army Pay Corps (RAPC) gilt metal and enamel sweetheart bar brooch. The Royal Army Pay Corps (RAPC) was the corps of the British Army responsible for administering all financial matters. It was amalgamated into the Adjutant General's Corps in 1992. All the enameling and gilt is still in place and the brooch is in excellent condition. On the reverse it still retains its original long fixing pin and “C” clasp. It measures 2.25” (5.8cm) wide by 0.75” (1.8cm) high and weighs 3.8g. Please see my pictures for the details of the condition, which complement this description.
