An early scarce example of a WWII 29th Division patch. Embroidered on wool and in near mint condition. The 29th Infantry Division, under the command of Major General Leonard Gerow, was sent to England on 5 October 1942 on RMS Queen Mary. The 29th then trained in Devon and loaded transports for in Falmouth. First wave to land on Omaha beach on 6th June 1944 and suffered heavy losses.
