The Queen's Regiment Staybrite Cap-badge.

Bi-metal anodised aluminium cap-badge of riveted construction with a slider fixing on the reverse. The slider is stamped 'J.R.Gaunt B'ham'. The Queen's Regiment (QUEENS) was an infantry regiment of the British Army formed in 1966 through the amalgamation of the four regiments of the Home Counties Brigade. Until 1971 the regiment remained one of the largest regiments in the army, with 10 battalions, however these were reduced to just 6, and later 5 battalions. Following the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Options for Change reforms were published and in 1992 the regiment amalgamated with the Royal Hampshire Regiment to form the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment.
