Original era manufacture. Gilded facsimiles of the French Mexican Campaign Medal, housed in a clear plastic casing. Produced to honor the epic,10 hour, last stand struggle of 65 soldiers of the French Foreign Legion, during the battle of Camerone Hacienda, 30 April 1863.The wooden prosthetic hand of the French commander, Captain Jean De'Anjou, who died in the battle along with most of his soldiers; remains the most venerated relic in the history of the Foreign Legion.
