German WWI M1915 Knapsack 1917 Mfg

Original period manufacture. Stone gray colored canvas flap with brown leather loops for attaching the messkit. Heavy gray cotton interior with brown leather internal straps  Maker marked and dated 1917 on the reverse of the pack at the top. The shoulder straps are present, but are missing their buckles. Normal age and wear.
