Rare Souvenir Bracelet from the KDF Ship Wilhelm Gustloff, 1938.

This rare bracelet compromises 12 enameled white metal linked signal flags spelling WILH GUSTLOFF and the German national emblem with sprung clip. Measures just under 8 inches in length. Built in 1937 and used as the flag ship of the DAF she entered service in 1938 and was used for State relaxation for just under 2 years. Requisitioned as a hospital ship and troop carrier until the tragic events of January 1945 when she was torpedoed by a Russian submarine when leaving Danzig with the loss of over 9000 passengers including 5000 children.
