East German, Cold War Era Steel Helmet, Complete

Original era manufacture. Prototypes of this pattern helmet existed during WWII but never adopted by the Wehrmacht. They were later adopted by the East German Army after 1957. Very clean, light surface scratching to the exterior. Complete with liner and chinstrap, size about a 56. The foam rubber padding has dried out from age so tends to be fragile, the leather and plastic suspension are sound.
