WW2 USAAF Folding Survival Machete, Camillus.

I have had numerous British manufactured examples in the past with condition ranging from used to well used and shed finds. This American Camillus manufactured example must rate at one of the best out there. The blade finish is close to perfect with minimal scratches only, one or two ''grains'' of lift to the finish only. Both bakelite type grip plates have no damage and minimal wear with all metal fittings again in near perfect condition. Metal blade protector again in perfect condition with great finish.The spring is very tight and takes an effort to release the blade as you would expect from such a nice near mint example with little to no use. If you wanted just one example of the USAAF folding survival machete found in pilots and aircrew E-kits then this would fit the bill perfectly. NOT FOR SALE TO UNDER 18's AND UK ONLY.
