Italian WWII M1933 Steel Helmet, Size 60

Original era manufacture. These Italian WWII M1933 steel helmets seem to be pretty tough to pin down, as many of them saw service with other countries (Spain) during the WWII era, and postwar with other countries. Subsequently they have been repainted, have had new liners and chinstraps added. What we have here is a production code of P99 under the front visor rim, three ventilator rivets with what look to be flat tops to them, a leather liner size marked 60, and evidence of the original sage green paint on the interior of the helmet. The exterior of the shell displays an old, dark olive overpaint, with the original sage green color beneath. Replaced leather chinstrap, with a slide adjusting buckle. Overall the helmet is sound enough to wear and a big size too.
