Royal Hamilton Light Infantry (Wentworth Regt.) K/C WWII

Bi-metal cap badge with 2 loops to reverse. Part of the 4th Infantry Brigade. Were at Dieppe in 1942 where 582 troops landed. After the 8 hour battle, only 102 were not among the casualties. They later served in the battle of Normandy from July 1944 to VE Day. Ref The Canadian Soldier J Bouchery p63
