M40 Heer/Waffen-SS no decal steel helmet Q64 1944

Typical late war M40 helmet produced by Quist. This was the last helmet factory to produce M40 pattern helmets untill very late in to the war before switching to the M42 style helmet. This is a classic no decal example with a 1944 dated liner band. The exterior is coated in field green paint and shows moderate wear. The helmet is complete with its liner, named to Fritz Gÿss, 1. Kp. The leather shows normal wear and remains supple and strong. The split pins remain untouched and straight. Maker marked in the rear Q64, lotnumber: DN522. Honest, untouched M40 steel helmet that could be used for a Army or Waffen-SS display.
