French WW1 Adrian Helmet.

Description

Helmet shell has had a late war rough hand painted finish over the factory paint, id say this remains around 95% intact, shell has three minor knocks to the body, type of knocks found from a well used combat helmet, hard to see in the photos. The front badge is the original period example. The inside skirt has also had this second coat of rough finish up to the liner system. A nice touch to the paint is the wear mark to the peak where the owner has taken the lid off and on his head many times during its life on the front line. The liner system including the corrugated frame is complete with the leather in supple condition, there is a black shoe lace as a tie! The period factory finish can be seen to the crown but i have not tried to lift up the tongues to try and find any markings. The chinstrap is close to its full length but missing its tip and end where it would have fastened to the chinstrap bale. So a very nice untouched example and a perfect battle used steel helmet from WW1.
