Extremely Rare One and a Half Lifesize Bronze of Adolf Hitler by Ferdinand Liebermann (1883-1941)-It's been decades since I had the opportunity to handle one of these spectacular 1 1/2 lifesize bronzes of The Führer by the artist that was considered Hitler's favorite. After 1933, Liebermann apparently produced, at the orders of the Nazi party, 32 busts of Hitler in 1 1/2 lifesize, one of which was a commission from the city of Munich for the city hall. This must be one of the 32 and therefore extremely rare. This example is in very sound shape with some verdigre in spots but mostly confined to the rear of his head. This is a testimony to its vintage. The sculptor's name is quite prominent on the base of the back of the neck. Please examine the photos.
