US Vietnam War GI Airborne Steel Helmet, Major, 1966 ERDL Contract Helmet Cover

Original period manufacture. Rear seam, non reflective edge steel helmet shell with soap residue in the interior. I have not removed the helmet cover as it has been on this shell for decades, so no idea if anything can be seen on the exterior of the shell. Mitchell pattern, DSA 100 70 C 0822 marked cover. Dark OD, original sewn Airborne chin straps. Molded liner with full helmet lining. Machine-sewn cloth jump wings and Major's insignia on the front. Solid unmolested helmet.
