US WWII Army Jungle Machete Ontario Knife Co. 1943

Original era manufacture. Rough factory finish to the 18 inch blade, with a factory applied edge, displaying clear markings and a 1943 date. Black plastic grip which is secured with four, flush ground steel rivets.Dark OD canvas scabbard, with nicely contrasting light OD trim, clean, well marked, with a metal reinforced throat.  The scabbard is sound, normal age and wear, stenciled U.S. Meese Inc. 43 below the belt loop. One copper rivet up by the scabbard throat appears to be a replacement.
