Leather cowl pattern flying helmet. These were private purchase and standard issue to aircrew. Soft brown leather with ear rolls. Fur lining to interior absent. Good condition overall, leather remains supple. Very small hole (about 1⁄4' diameter) to bottom left as you would look at the wearer. Ink written name R.S.Turner with some faint ink stamped marks. Turner is listed in the Royal Flying Corps index for officers and aircrew
