Description

A fine tailored example in heavy wool. Has all black Bakelite buttons. Black silk like lining. Rank epaulets for Squadron Leader. One of the wool slip on loops that hold the epaulette to to the jacket has broken away but it there and easily resewn. Complete with matching waist belt and oxidized buckle. Named on the inside makers label and dated 1943. Interesting that the tailors address is in Rhodesia. Presumably acquired during his time in the Empire Air Training Scheme. Shows some service use and has a moth Niko to one epaulette.
