Description
A rarer 1920's example of the “2nd” type pattern 1907 scabbard. This with a straight locket and small round frog stud. The locket is heavily painted in khaki green paint and hiding any markings. The chape with a Lithgow star. The making and dat on the reverse of the leather body of the scabbard has also worn away. The leather is nice and supple and a good example of a 1920's period scabbard. Refer to British and Commonwealth Bayonets by Skennerton page. 277.
