Australia c.1890's- 1906 White Home Service Helmet. A good example of a generic white blancoed service helmet of the period 1890-1906. Has brass spike and chin chain. Leather sweatband and cotton lining still intact. A makers name ' Best London Manufacture' to the inside crown. Has had a previous helmet plate attached and the holes filled to the front. This early noticeable and does not detract from the overall look. The helmet retains a great shape with no ares of squashing. Suitable for an array of infantry artillery or corps units relating to the period 1890-1906.
