Newport and Monmouthshire Medallion

Very scarce tin cap badge with pin to reverse. White with green and white edge and red Welsh dragon to centre. Issued to recruits to Kitchener's Army in October 1914 prior to being 'badged'. Comes with photocopy of the South Wales Argus explaining about the badge. Produced by RR Johns Ltd. of Newport on the instruction of Major General Ivor Herbert
