US WWI Pistol Lanyard, Patented February 1917

Original period manufacture. Braided khaki cloth lanyard with darkened metal fittings, patent date on the snap hook, Feb. 20 1917. Some scattered age darkening to the braided cord, with a tiny bit of surface fraying next to the slide.
