French WWI, 1914 Dated, M1887 Issue Enlisted Coat

Original era manufacture. Issue coat with 1914 issue stamps on the white cotton interior. In addition, costume house markings have been added during Hollywood use, with the costumer going to the trouble as marking the coat as 'genuine' . Dark blue wool body with red wool collar and cuff bars. Brass Legion Etrangere buttons throughout, except on the cuff bars, where no buttons remain. Terri found 3 extra cuff buttons in one pocket, while she was photographing the coat. No moth issues to speak of. At one time or another a cloth covering was applied over the collar and cuff bars but removed at some point, leaving the original fabric intact.
