Sold
$65.00

Description

Original era manufacture. Issue pattern mess knife and fork which appear in the Ordnance Memoranda No. 29 in 1885. Interestingly the issue spoon shown accompanying the knife and fork in the memoranda is of the same pattern used up into the early WWII years. Sometimes these utensils will be found with a U.S. marking on the knife blade and base of the fork with patent information on the grip panels, this set is totally unmarked, exact otherwise.  Normal age and wear, no issues.
