Wehrmacht 'Afrika' Cufftitle

Wehrmacht 'Afrika' Cufftitle (Ärmelband). The 'Afrika' cufftitle was introduced on 15 January 1943 and held the status of a campaign award, since the cufftitle was considered a military combat decoration, it was awarded with a corresponding award document (and entries in the 'Soldbuch' and/or 'Wehrpass'). The cufftitle was to be worn on the right lower arm (except greatcoats). The camelhair cufftitle measures approximately 42cms in length. The cufftitle is made of woven, brushed, khaki/tan camelhair and features the in silver/grey thread machine embroidered script: 'Afrika', flanked by palm trees. The cufftitle is nicely RB.Nr. marked on the back. The cufftitle is in clearly used and tunic removed condition showing some staining and minor damage, see photos. Stunning original cufftitle.
