WW2 ARP Poole Warden Pass

An ARP Air Raid Wardens identity certification card, issues to a J.C. Jones of Poole. The card was issues on the 11th of September 1940 as part of the Joint Scheme for Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch districts. Poole harbour providing moorings to both Fleet Air Arm Sunderland Flying Boats (HMS Daedalus II) and RAF 'fast launches' (RAF Hamworthy). Due to the latter Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch were targeted several times during WW2.
