Soviet Afghan War Panamka

An original Soviet Russian Afghan War Panamka hat. The Panamka was the standard tropical headwear of the Soviet Russian army. The Panamka was popular during the Soviet Afghan War in the 1980s, where it was worn with the Afghanka uniform. The hat is double lined and has multiple ventilation holes which suits the Afghan extreme hot day temperatures in the summer and its equally bitter cold nights in the winter months. Original surplus item, size 58 and 1988 dated.
