Cameron Highlanders Victorian Officers Levee Sporran Cantle

Probably the finest Cantle ever designed. This is a large Gilded Cantle 7.5 inches wide by 3.25 inches deep and weighing an impressive 285 grams (around 11 ounces) The plate is rich gilt with over 20 thistles and the the Battle Honours Peninsula- Egypt-Waterloo. The central devise with The Queens Own Cameron Highlanders and to the centre a silver thistle and crown.The sporran would have had grey goats hair with 6 bullion tassles and complete versions cost around £800-£1000.
