1856 Pattern Pioneer Sawback Short Sword by Wilkinson.

A very fine example of the 1856 pattern Pioneers sword with saw back. It has a brass hilt and grip with an 'ear shape' guard with a scrolled quillon. It has a good steel blade with a sharp saw back used for clearing scrub, trees etc and at the ricasso it is marked 'Wilkinson London' with the date 5/94. It is in excellent original condition but no scabbard. It measures 27.5 inches long. Shipping to UK mainland only via courier
