Edwardian / WW1 Era Naval Captain's Full Dress Uniform.

A sunning Royal Naval Captains full dress uniform. The double-breasted tailcoat, which is probably late Victorian, is made of Melton wool fabric and embellished with gilt buttons and gold bullion insignia. It is also as a quilted wool lining and comes with the matching trousers. The coat comes with the original accessories tin which contains the Bicorn hat which has matching buttons and fine gold bullion tassels and cockade. And the shoulder boards, again gold bullion with a silver anchor and kings crown of siler and red velvet. The hat and shoulder boards are in superb condition, with some signs of use. The coat is also in great order but has one old area of moth damage on the shoulder, but this is completely covered by the shoulder boards. It obviously shows signs of light use and age as does the trousers, but over all a beautiful complete uniform which has seen some service, which my pictures really do not do justice. The Tailcoat measures Chest 36, Waist 32. Trousers, Waist 32, Inside leg 29 inches.
