Mid 20th Century Reliance Insurance Plate.

A embossed 'Reliance Insurance' plate or sign. A mid-20th century reissue of the 17th Century plates hung on buildings to show the firemen that the building has insurance and that they would get paid for fighting the fire. This one is made of printed tin in black and gold. Although it has a few minor scratches etc, it looks unused and measures 8.25 x 9.25 inches.
