WW1 Somerset Veteran Reserve Glengarry Badge.

The large brass and white metal badge 'For King & Country' worn on the volunteer / reserve blue garrison type glengarry. The Somerset Veteran Reserve was a group of men who were eligible to join if they were ex-members of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Army, Militia, Yeomanry, or Volunteers. They were required to maintain their military efficiency during peacetime and be ready to rejoin the Regulars or Territorials if called upon. This lovely quality badge comes in excellent used condition with a nice even tone to the brass and correct large pin on the back. Ref. C19
